Dear friends,

Much to my regret I have to confirm what my former band fellows recently announced here. Love Is Colder Than Death have split.

Right after we had happily started with our new live presence, I had to make a decision that ended up in disaster. It is sad that, after this, we had to cancel all our live plans for this year and furthermore are not able to release the new album SHAPES, that had actually almost been finished.

But I am convinced that our music, that has always been honest, can only work the way it should if all of us honestly feel all right with each other too. So this difficult decision had to be made.

At the moment Suse and Ralf seem to be working on a new project. Sven is taking time out.

I am very busy with soundtracks and other musical projects, but I aim to continue with LICTD in the future, in whatever form that takes. There will be a new album but, as all of you will understand, it will take time to re-invent the concept.

I would like to say thank you to all of you who have been such wonderful company on our journey over the last 21 years. I know exactly how deeply the connection to our music was felt by many of you. Be assured, there will be a new and just as exciting chapter of the story.
